About the Collection

These vessels are part of an ongoing body of work exploring embodiment, transformation, and the beautiful instability of becoming.

I have become increasingly interested in the moments when the body seems to exceed itself, when touch, desire, memory, movement, or imagination transform something solid into something fluid. It is a quiet transfiguration: not one thing, not yet another. Like the space between caterpillar and butterfly, these in-between states resist certainty while becoming entirely alive.

Water vessels became an unexpected guide for this investigation. They are forms designed to receive, to contain, to pour, and sometimes to overflow. Their purpose seems fixed until something exceeds their design. A crack appears. Liquid escapes. The boundary between inside and outside dissolves. Rather than seeing this as failure, I see it as celebration a particular and peculiar moment a form discovers that it can become more than it was made to be.

Each drawing is created by hand using brush, ink, and watercolor. Together, these one hundred vessels form an unfolding archive of transformation, where every variation shows the curiosity that happens when a vessel, shaped to hold liquid, begins to overflow the very purpose for which it was made.

Although each drawing exists on its own, they were never imagined as isolated objects. They belong to a larger conversation about the body, intimacy, and transformation, this is a collection dispersed across many hands and many homes.

My hope is that this vessel continues its journey with you, offering a quiet place to reflect on the mystery of becoming and the beauty of a life that is always capable of overflowing its own design.
